Can I select which products I would like to sample?

One sample box is sent out to each month to active subscribers. For new subscribers, subscribe before the 15th of this month and your first sample box will arrive next month, otherwise it will show up the following month (e.g. if you subscribe on January 16th, then you will receive your first sample box in March).

Can I select which products I would like to sample?

No. The sample box is designed to expose you to new products that you might not have tried before. We will do our best to send you things that you’ll like, but if we let you choose the contents, then what would be the fun in that?

What if I have allergies or dietary restrictions?

Unfortunately, right now we are not set-up to accommodate allergies or dietary restrictions when determining the contents of sample boxes. As we grow, this is one of the things that we will look to change.

You may, however, apply a number of filters when searching for products in our marketplace, making it easy for you to find foods that meet your dietary requirements.

Can I pause or re-route my sample box if I’m traveling?

Yes. If you’re traveling, you don’t want food piling up at your doorstep.

Log into “My Account” and go to “My Subscriptions”. Find your Sample Box Subscription and select “edit”. On the next page you may easily change your shipping address or suspend your subscription.

Payments for samples are collected the month before they ship, so there will be a month delay before your edits take effect. We recommend only changing your subscription details if you are traveling for an extended period of time.

What is your cancellation policy?

You are free to cancel your subscription at any time.

While you are an active subscriber, you will be charged $10 (+tax, if applicable) each month on the anniversary of your subscription date (i.e. if you subscribed on January 2nd, then you will be charged again on the 2nd day of each subsequent month). Individuals who cancel their subscriptions after the 15th of the month will still receive a sample box next month. Those who cancel their subscriptions on or before the 15th of the month will not receive a sample box next month. All subscription payments are considered reservations towards the next month's sample box. All reservation payments are final and non-refundable.

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Simply log into “My Account” and go to “My Subscriptions”. Find your Sample Box Subscription and select “edit”. On the next page you may easily change your shipping address, suspend, or cancel your subscription. Alternatively, you may send an email from the address associated with your account to support@petitamuse.com with the subject line "Subscription Cancellation" and we will cancel your subscription within the next 3 business days.

$10 a month, plus $2.00 shipping for a box of samples. Are you making any money?

No. In fact, we don’t make any profit on our sample boxes. We want you to try as many of the products that we sell as possible. They are often better tasting and more unique than the products you can find at your local supermarket or natural food store.

To keep the price of our sample boxes low, we have partnered with small producers to offer you samples of their products at cost, meaning that neither the producers nor we make any profit on the samples. We are confident that once you try them, you will fall in love with a number of our products and decide to purchase more through our website (petitamuse.com).

Petit Amuse was formed to help small producers of incredible food products grow and become successful. The best way that we can do this is by helping to get their samples out to as many potential customers as possible. Sure, we could charge more than $10/month, but we’d rather have a million subscribers!

Earn a $15 marketplace credit for every 3 friends you refer who subscribe to our monthly sample box (up to a total of $60). Use these credits to purchase anything in our marketplace (does not include subscriptions or gift subscriptions).

How much is shipping on orders through your marketplace?

Ground shipping is available for all purchases at a flat rate of $7.99 per order, regardless of how many items you purchase. We recommend picking out a mixed basket of your favorite items, since you’re effectively paying $7.99 shipping on the first item and then getting free shipping on everything else in your order.

There’s a local producer near me that makes the best treats. Can I recommend them?

Yes, please! We’ve already added products based on discussions with customers. You each know your local markets best and what incredible products are being produced nearby. We’d love to hear any suggestions that you have and will seriously look into each of them.
